The Prime Minister promised four million Australians would be vaccinated by the end of March. After failing that target, the Government’s next target was six million Australians vaccinated by May 10.
With only just over two and a half million vaccinations completed, Scott Morrison has utterly failed his own target once again.
Frontline healthcare workers, aged care workers, disability residents, all in the Government’s 1A rollout, who were supposed to be vaccinated by Easter, are still yet to receive their jabs.
Over the past seven days, only just over 350,000 vaccine doses have been delivered in Australia.
Scott Morrison has been saying for weeks now that the vaccination program was ramping up. But at this rate it will take two years for Australia to become fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile we have still heard stories from GPs that they are not getting enough supply of vaccine to put into people’s arms, or about vaccines being delivered to the wrong aged care homes.
Where is the advertising campaign to get confidence in the vaccine rollout back on track?
Scott Morrison doesn’t have a plan for the vaccine rollout. There are no targets and there are no timeframes to get it back on track.
The opening of our economy is dependent on people getting jabs in their arms. The longer the wait, the more lockdowns we’ll see.
