Hyundai Australia has belled the cat on the Morrison Government’s complete capitulation on vehicle emissions standards.
Hyundai’s manager of future mobility and government relations Scott Nargar has lamented, “I can’t find anyone in Canberra to talk about them, though we spent months and years talking about them with Minister (Josh) Frydenberg and Minister (Paul) Fletcher and the departments.
“So we’re a country that’s kind of at a standstill at the moment… there’s no conversation about emission regulations.”
This is even though the Government’s own review states vehicle emissions standards would save motorists up to $500 per year, with a net benefit for the entire economy of $13.9 billion over 20 years.
Because Scott Morrison has no plan for our country Australian motorists are paying the price with more expensive, dirty cars.
