MORRISON FAILS ON DELIVERY, AGAIN

October 13, 2021

The Morrison-Joyce Government have once again proven they aren’t capable of following a policy announcement with actual delivery.

Last week the Morrison-Joyce Government announced COVID vaccine booster shots would be available from this week for 500,000 severely immunocompromised Australians.
Health Minister Hunt encouraged immunocompromised Australians to start planning their booster shots, saying:

“If you or someone in your family are severely immunocompromised, we encourage you to reach out to your GP or specialist to discuss whether an additional dose is required”.

Australians have reacted appropriately, seeking medical advice and trying to book booster shots, believing the Prime Minister’s promise boosters would be available this week.

But in another example of not following through on their own announcement, Australians seeking a booster shot  have been met with the news they cannot book booster shot appointments and GPs and state health departments still haven’t been notified about the booster vaccine program by the Morrison-Joyce Government.

Australians expect their Government to follow through on announcements but are becoming used to Prime Minister Morrison’s long track record of failing to deliver.

This isn’t good enough.

By the Morrison-Joyce Government’s own admission, hundreds of thousands of immunocompromised Australians need additional protection from COVID.

They’re being let down by a Government far more interested in announcements that delivery.
