The Liberal Turnbull Government is making a $250 million announcement that has the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) at the centre of a project to improve energy efficiency in community housing.
It is disingenuous to the extreme to promise some of our most vulnerable communities improved energy efficiency through the CEFC when they intend to abolish it at the first opportunity.
It’s said an empty vessel makes the loudest sound, and true to form Minister Hunt’s $250 million announcement is as empty as his and Malcolm Turnbull’s commitment to tackling climate change.
The Turnbull Liberal Government has today again confirmed Tony Abbott’s policy to abolish the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), with Senator Anne Ruston telling Senate Estimates it remains the policy of Malcolm Turnbull’s Liberals to abolish the CEFC.

Australians deserve better than Malcolm Turnbull saying one thing on climate change and doing the opposite
