Funding under the Stronger Communities Program will soon be available again in each of Australia’s Federal Electorates.
Up to $150,000 of funding will be available in Port Adelaide for projects which improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.
Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 will be made available for capital projects.
Up to 50 per cent of total project costs can be funded from the grant, however, to be eligible, there is a requirement of matched contributions, in cash or in kind. You can fund your share of eligible project costs from any source and it may be either cash or in-kind.
Incorporated not-for-profit organisations are be eligible to apply.
As part of the Stronger Communities Program I have established a community advisory committee that will identify priority projects and have the responsibility of undertaking an initial eligibility assessment prior to applications being forwarded to the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and Cities.
If your organisation has an idea for a community capital project which will improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities I encourage you to submit an application to the Port Adelaide Community Advisory Committee by Monday 17 September 2018 by email at Mark.Butler.MP@aph.gov.au or by post: Mark Butler MP, PO Box 2038, Port Adelaide SA 5015.
