Every year in association with the SALA Festival Mark offers the Mark Butler Art Awards. These awards acknowledge the wonderful contribution artists make to our community.

This year awards will be offered in two categories: Established Artist and Emerging Artist. There will be one overall winner in the Established Artist category, with the recipient receiving $700. The award prizes for the Emerging Artist category are 1st prize: $500, 2nd prize: $250, and 3rd prize: $150.

Artists must live in the electorate of Hindmarsh and their artwork must have been entered into this year's SALA Festival.

The Local Arts Certificates of Honour acknowledge outstanding individuals, living in the electorate of Hindmarsh, who have made a significant contribution to the Arts through their support, encouragement, assistance or participation.

Applications for the 2022 Art Awards are now closed.

The closing date for nominations was 5pm Friday 16 September 2022.
